About Me
(aside from the Twitter bio blurb that’s on the far right)
I’m a landlocked beach bum described by friends as “a wild card” and “very focused” - which I take as compliments. Both of these adjectives carry over into my personal and professional lives to varying degrees. Personally, I think of myself as passionate, detailed oriented, patient, competitive (not overly competitive – I simply prefer winning), trendsetting, smart risk taker, and relentless until I reach a goal. These are all traits the wife struggles to keep in check for me as she is the better half.

My Twitter description pretty much sums me up - “Husband, Believer, rabid Bama fan, immune to stress, trendsetter, smart risk taker, Director of Interactive Marketing, COD MW2 sultan of pain (bravetide).“
I’m married to the most beautiful woman that’s ever lived, we’re living in Tuscaloosa, AL where we both graduated from THE University of Alabama – we’re obviously fans. This place is hot, humid, and backwoods. Suffice it to say we like to get out of town a lot.
Self - MIS major, minors in Computer Software Systems and English Composition.
The Mrs. – Marketing major.
Met her at CHURCH, not a bar, or speed dating, or the grocery store though all those sources have resulted in successful relationships for other people. In fact, I was in the wedding of a good buddy of mine who met his wife through eHarmony.com (they’re due for their first youngin’ shortly).
We’ve got a 11lb Yorkie appropriately named “Biggie” – he’s the Shaquille O’Neal of his breed, doesn’t shed, and is a lot smarter than some of the people where I work. And no, he’s not a sissy dog with bows and long hair. I’ve trained him well enough so that he can do anything a lab can do. I know, I know, he’s still a Yorkie… Whatever.
I’m the Director of Interactive Marketing for a division at Randall-Reilly Business Media (formerly Randall-Reilly Publishing Company). Prior to this position, I was the Sr SEO/SEM Manager – translation: I helped websites become “search engine friendly” and increase their intended user base. Rankings come along naturally, it’s never a sole intention. It’s usually a slow process, can be pretty repetitive, always changing and challenging, but paid the bills so I don’t complain. At all. I take great pleasure in watching competitors lose search results real estate, I’m greedy with my work, and I sleep just fine knowing my work suppresses the competition into submission.
I’m a music freak – I’ve been to well over 100 live concerts – and it’s a requirement if I’m on the road, at work, or in the gym. Here’s a breakdown of daily requirements:
